How the gel works in the body
The Gelteq drug delivery system enhances the therapeutic efficacy of the compound delivered at every stage of ingestion, in both animals and humans; addressing the whole experience - from the moment of ingestion through to final absorption.

The gel formula undergoes sheering that creates new interfaces, providing an extra mechanism to provide an improved taste profile. This in turn has the ability to ensure a better dosing experience and promotes better and more ongoing therapeutic adherence.
Digestion
Our gel technology can be tailored to trigger a fast-release in the stomach, or to shield the deliverable compounds against stomach acids and degradation, allowing differing release profile across the Gastrointestinal Tract (GIT).
GIT Absorption
Release rates can be configured based on the API or combination of API's. This provides the potential for an API to be targeted to different sites in the GIT.
Pleasant mouthfeel
Our formulations provide chemically and physically stable homogenous matrices, which reduce surface contact to taste buds, providing a more pleasant mouthfeel.
Comfortable swallowing
Our “set” gel flows quickly, with low internal resistance that induces the swallowing reflex, reducing potential choking events and providing easier administration.
